Welcome to Our Community
We are the women of the Victoria Falls Women’s Curio Market. Children, mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, this curio market is our livelihood and our legacy...our gift to our children and our gift to the world.
This market began in 1981, and there are now more than 230 of us who have joined together to share our gifts. Most of us remember coming here as girls, working with our own mothers and grandmothers and learning how to create the products we offer you now. On weekends, we bring our own children with us now to teach them our ways so they can grow this market beyond what we, ourselves, have created so far.
When you shop at our curio market...
You are helping us provide for our families the only way we can. Many of us our single mothers, and many of us have households with more than twenty mouths to feed. You are helping us earn the money to pay for doctors’ visits, put food on our tables, and put roofs over our heads.
